Tips for Active Job Seeking

I recently subscribed to former Microsoft employee and A-list tech blogger Robert Scoble’s RSS feed and came across one of his posts on actively seeking employment. I felt there were a few great tips in there and it was well worth a look if you’re in need of some motivation. Check the post outHERE.

Well at least they got back to me…unlike the others (so far). Horrifying error though - lesson learned.

I haven’t spelled the company name wrong yet, but I have mispronounced the interviewer’s name wrong! I learned from that, and passed this tip on to readers in my job search blog for CIO Magazine (http://advice.cio.com/blogs/cio_job_search_a_real_life_chronicle).

I ALWAYS call ahead 1-2 days before an interview to the firm’s main phone line and ask how to pronounce the interviewer’s name.

Good luck!!!
